The days where curvy girls are afraid to hit the gym in skin tight workout gear and/or bright colors are long gone. When I was younger and in my high school days, I used to hide under large t-shirts and sweat pants. You wouldn’t catch me anywhere today with that on! I’ve reached a confident place where I no longer care who is looking at me. I love wearing bright colors and fitted gear because it’s overall more comfortable and I feel free. Wouldn’t we all want to get away with wearing cute, comfy workout clothes every day for every occasion? I know at times I wish I could. I LOVE shopping for workout clothes. I have my go to brands that I stick to for certain workout gear. It’s not easy finding the right fit for a curvy girl to workout in. If you’re like me, you might have even gone through having to wear TWO sports bras so that your girls wouldn’t hit you in the face while you attempted a jumping jack! I’m a size 40DDD bra and I was determined to find a sports bra that would come to the a busty girl’s rescue and I did! Lane Bryant’s bra’s are all heaven sent and their sports bra is amazing. I’m wearing the under wire high impact bra, which gives you amazing support and your bust a good shape without looking smashed down. I get most of my workout pants from Old Navy they are great and last long. My shoes, besides being cute, are comfy and give me that extra cushion that I need. Here’s a little tip when shopping for workout shoes look for comfort, cushion in the sole, and I always like to go up a least a half size for sock room and to prevent the shoe from rubbing up against my ankles.
So for accessories I have this super cool watch that does more the just tell time. It’s called a Pebble Smart Watch and has great features such as connecting to your smart phone with blue tooth, receiving notifications such as texts and emails and most importantly your music can be controlled too! It’s also water resistant so you can do your water aerobics, take a shower and wash your hands all while it’s still on. Sleek, functional, and cute! Lastly my head band is one I found and is amazing, it doesn’t slide off and its cute!

Hello! I’m back and its my first outfit post of the year so why not bring it in with a little something different. I snatched up this amazing bra from the best bra makers in my opinion Lane Bryant . Although it’s an under garment, I like to do things a little unconventional. I’m not afraid to show off my skin sometimes and I think a girl should do some things out of the norm at least once a year to have a little fun with yourself, but remember to “always” do things with taste. So to pull this look together I raided my mothers closet once again (sshh don’t tell her) to find some wide leg pants to pair with this fab vest I am rocking. I needed a pant that was relaxed and blunt to balance out the hem of the vest. The bra was my added sexy and minimal yet bold accessories completed the look.
For starters the conversation piece of this look, the bra, is much needed for every girl to add to her collection. I purchased this one from Lane Bryant and it fits true to size also the straps are convertible. If you’re wondering the long line boning is comfortable however the only thing I dislike is that is rolls up a tad when I sit down, but I’m sure that’s just my tummy being in the way hehe. This vest which is from Forever 21 is all thumbs up for me I love the sheer panel detail on the back also. I just wished the inside had a lining so the stitching was not exposed but that’s nothing your tailor can’t fix. The heels are the most comfortable heels I have ever worn. I wore them out for a date night and I had not a complain all night and they are sparkly, yes!
What I’m wearing: vest Forever 21, long line bra Lane Bryant ,pants Hand down, heels Torrid, necklace Ashley Stewart, clutch Bakers, lip stick Urban Decay Naked 2 “Rouge A Levres”, nail polish by Sinful Colors ” Endless Blue”

HAPPY NEW YEAR I hope that everyone had a great holiday. Mines was non stop chaos and I was unable to post as I planned for the best time of the year but I’m back to serve you with fresh new style and tips that will inspire your possibly new you for the new year. First I want to take a look back at a couple of past moments from 2014 that were my favorites. I love taking a look back into the past even if its just a few short months, a year or even more because it makes you reflect on life and how much you’ve grown. For me I see how much I have actually been a little more consistent with my blogging and that I produced my first short video and how I have so much more work to do. I give myself a pat on my back knowing that I did do well because I don’t do that so often and I’m proud of me. This also fuels me to keep going and getting better at life. What did you reflect on in 2014? Also what are your favorite looks from TMARIE styles in 2014?

So gals this just about sums it up for my holiday guide. I love each and every piece I hope at least one of them end up under my tree!(Hint I live for anything Monif C. and that long Velvet Rum and Coke Dress) lol. I hope this leads you to a great outfit or gift. Now go shop and be Merry!
Every girl needs a simple, sleek, statement piece in her closet. Asos is amazing at creating pieces like this and I snatched this sexy little number during the summer and I love it! There are endless ways I can style this dress, but for this one particular look I wanted to be sleek and sexy. Keeping it all under wraps and close to the body was the idea in mind. This is a great look for a date night, dinner party, or something after five. The holidays are just about in full swing also, so to be a little more festive I could switch up the shoe to a sparkly pump without the necklace and add a great coat and I have a whole new look! I will say that this dress is unforgiving and definitely shows every curve in your body so I have no shame in saying I definitely put a Spanx on to smooth my body out and I do suggest every woman from size 2 to size 28 to have one in your wardrobe! I’m sure even Beyonce owns one or two! All in all, this little black number is a great fit and and even through the holiday sparkle this look will shine. I hope I’ve inspired you!

Yep, it is so! Vogue has proven that they are seeing curvy models and that we are fashion too. I’m loving this lingerie shoot featuring models Tara Lynn, Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine , Marquita Spring and Inga Eiridottir. I wouldn’t want it any other way raw, unedited, natural, and apologetically real women. These women stood together on set gracing their beauty and I must say to me this is better that Kim K breaking the internet yesterday ! As much as I love to promote body acceptance and positivity, it felt so good to look a these images published raw and unedited, gracing their mostly unseen stretch marks, cellulite, and tummy rolls. It brought a huge smile across my face and gives me that much more confidence to keep loving all of me because they are the depiction of beauty in Vogue! and look just like me! In an article entitled ” Give me a D! Give me an F! Because Bras Comes in All Shapes and Sizes”, fashion editor Jorden Bickham talks about how finding the most important unseen garment on a woman’s body should take a new turn to putting a little extra effort or being pretty into the process. After all boobs do go through enough, they deserve pretty touches too! They were displayed Flawlessly!

‘Tis the season to cuddle or wrap up in a fabulous coat! I love this season as I’ve said before, and every curvy girl deserves at least one fabulous coat in her closet. Last season I literally cried over a fabulous designer coat I spotted in Marshall’s! It was one of those situations where you see something and can’t stop thinking about it. I couldn’t resist the urge and bought it. It was money well spent and something I can wear over and over and over. So now that the coat season has arrived again I want to give you my round up of the best coats I’ve found.
I’ll start with this season’s latest trends in coats that will give you that fashion forward look!
A classic and rather rough inspired style, today you can find a motocross fitted jacked in just about any finish. Wear them during the day or for a fun night out.
You came blame Kim K for bringing these long classic coats into the latest trend for just about any outfit. You don’t need a cold, snowy, or rainy day to rock one of these, just throw one on over that cute little number and you have instant chic!
Shearling aka Fur will always give you that feeling of luxe and fabulosity, here are some chic finds to bundle under..
These looks never go out of style and you can probably spot one of these in your mother’s closet, but once you have one of these you will never be a fad.
The Shawl Neck
The Military Inspired
The Pea Coat
The Shift Coat
When I was growing up I never wanted one but now I think these casual coats are a great buy. Wear it with some combat boots or even bring back those Timberland boots on a cozy fall day and be cool.
The Bomber Jacket
This little jacket is also a classic. Get one while they are trending and is available in cute colors and combinations!
Here’s some other fab finds that I love also
The funnel Neck
Last night I attended the Miss Plus Top Model Competition of LA and I was excited to get a feel for what this event was all about. For about two years I have heard about the competition and knew it was centered around plus size models. As I walked in, there were lights, camera, action, and runway ready models everywhere. I also ran into a couple of model and industry friends. Of course I was there to get the scoop on the fashions coming down the runway and to also see the full figured beauties grace the stage. Soon the models were introduced and the first segment began, which was the “Project Runway” segment. Each model had to model a self created outfit that was made of trash bags! Yes, this was interesting to see and very creative. Many of the designs were great, over the top, and edgy. I couldn’t believe they were made of nothing more than trash bags. One that caught my eye in particular was an amazing piece worn by contestant Danielle that had a crop top with caged details. It also had a flowing long skirt and pleated cape. I was amazed at the detail work displayed using only a trash bag as the fabric. The second segment was one that I hold dear to thine heart, evening wear! Each contestant graced the stage in designs by Strut Bridal. They were all beautiful, however my favorite look was Charvelle Holder. She wore a pink gown, that was encrusted with jewels down the center and styled with drop earrings and her hair set off the look with a finger wave that instantly gave her a glamorous look reminiscent of old Hollywood. The third segment featured silver dresses individually designed by a stylist and tailored to each of the contestants’ personal style. This was also the last segment. It was now time to honor each contestant with an award and most importantly crown the 2015 Miss Plus Top Model! The two runner ups, Danielle and Charvelle, were called to the front of the stage. As they eagerly awaited to see who would be this year’s winner, tension rose in the room. To lighten the mood, more awards were handed out to other contestants. Afterwards, the moment each guest and two remaining contestants were waiting for, the 2015 winner of Miss Plus Top Model was crowned. It was the fabulous Charvelle Holder! She was filled with excitement and almost shed tears from her happiness. This competition was inspiring and fun! Yes, pretty can hurt at times, but there are also women who show that beauty is also self love, body acceptance, fierceness, and grace at any size! Not many know that pageant based competitions are extended to the curvy woman, but this and many other curvy movements are making their way into the spotlight! I just may consider this as something to try next year. Congratulations to this year’s winner Charvelle Holder!

I hope that you have enjoyed my “Get to know Tati” video that was posted yesterday. If you would like to know what I was rocking while in front of the camera here’s the details of it all. Summer is slowly making an exit out here in LA so I’m taking full advantage by showing off a little skin while I can! I decided to be simple, chic, preppy, and colorful with my floral blazer and tailored short. To add a little more pop I put a bright pump in the ensemble. Overall I wanted to have fun and keep it true to my original style being this was the topic at hand for the video.
