My Beach is Better
Long gone are the days that only a size six or below is allowed to wear a two piece bikini that cuts below her navel. I started wearing crop top, retro style bikinis about a year ago, so I decided to take it to the next level and prove to myself and others how confident I consider myself to be. Besides, there was no way I was passing up this B.E.A.utiful swim suit, made specifically for plus size beauty’s who dare to wear! I came across it on Lane Bryant’s website and I immediately bought it. When I stood in front of the mirror, I told myself I don’t think I’m ready for this, but I went to wear it to the beach. While shooting for this post, I had to say, “yes Tai’Tiana you are beautiful even while you continue on this journey.” After letting it sink in I realized, this is bigger than me. Yes it may be uncomfortable at first, but that’s where growth comes from. There’s no true definition of beauty or perfection, so let your barriers down and feel free to let the sun kiss your skin and remember those who don’t care don’t matter all all!
